To draw investments is one of main priorities for Kyiv region

Within the frameworks of 75th anniversary of Kyiv region celebration on May 18-19, 2007, in Ukrainian house took place Investment forum “Strategy of Kyiv region: Partnership. Investments. Development”. The event was held with a purpose to present investment potential of the region and to draw investments for its social and economy development.

The forum was participated by world states delegations, Ukrainian regions, international financial and public organizations representatives, scientists, entrepreneurials. The guests of honor were representatives of Republic of Poland. Kyiv regional employment service cooperates with them for a long period of time.

President of Ukraine Victor Yushenko emphasized in his speech the necessity to provide direct dialogue with investor. And this is required from each region of our country. Chairman of town and district council should be investor’s guide to regional business. Ukraine should live in time of changes. Of much importance is unemployment level decrease. It is the lowest comparing to previous years and is equal to 6,9%.

 

Nowadays Kyiv region provides active external economy activity. In the region there are over 600 enterprises with the participation of foreign companies. Of much importance is development of strategy of Kyiv region growth till 2015, the main tasks of which are: industrial and technological parks creation, transport infrastructure development, tourism development, effective system of land relationship creation. The strategy makes it possible to draw new investments, and today there are certain proposals, in particular, those concerning technological parks creation, places for entertainment and business complexes building etc.
